Telcos to fetch $8 bn from 5G IoT revenues by 2024: Report

New Delhi: Telecom operators’ revenues from IoT connenctions enabled by 5G technology is pegged at $8 billion in 2024 rising from $525 million in 2020 globally, according to a research report.

This is a growth of over 1,400% over the next 5 years, UK-based Juniper Research said in its report identifying the automotive and smart cities sectors as key growth drivers for 5G adoption over the next 5 years accounting for 70% of total 5G IoT connections worldwide.
