Telcos, infrastructure providers caution public against tower installation frauds

NEW DELHI: Telecom industry bodies Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association (TAIPA) have cautioned the public against rising frauds related to the installation of mobile towers on their premises, and urged to verify the authenticity of such claims by visiting the website the websites of telcos and infrastructure providers (IPs).

The updated list of approved telecom service providers (TSPs) and IPs is also available on the Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) website, the two Delhi-based groups in a joint statement said.
