Telcos in APAC set to invest $259 bn on networks by 2030, mostly on 5G: GSMA

NEW DELHI: Telecom operators in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region are estimated to invest $259 billion on networks between 2023 and 2030, with the majority of it on fifth-generation or 5G deployments, according to the GSMA’s ‘Mobile Economy Asia Pacific 2023’ report released on Monday.

“The volume of data crossing telecoms networks is growing exponentially as more people take advantage of broadband connectivity and the demand for data-heavy digital content proliferates,” GSMA said.
