Telcos fined ₹58 lakh for call drops

Financial disincentives of about ₹58 lakh were imposed on telecom companies, including Idea and BSNL, for not complying with the benchmark to measure drop call rate. These penalties were imposed during the six-month period, from January 2018 to June 2018, Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
