TCS pips HDFC Bank to be India’s most valuable brand: Kantar BrandZ report

Tata Consultancy Services NSE -0.21 % has more than doubled its brand value to $45.5 billion, outpacing HDFC Bank NSE -0.23 % to claim the top spot as the country’s most valuable brand, according to Kantar BrandZ India ranking.

The value of the TCS NSE -0.21 % brand jumped 212%, while HDFC, which had the pole position for the past six years, rose 62% to $32.7 billion. The study gets consumer insights from 4.1 million consumers around the world, covering more than 19250 different brands in over 51 markets.
