TCS onboards laterals after fast-tracking verification process

Bengaluru: TCS on Monday onboarded some of the lateral hires whose onboarding had previously been deferred by three months, from July to October. The onboarding was expedited for those who cleared an exhaustive background verification process, some employees told TOI on condition that they not be named.

Even at the induction process, there was a lot of emphasis on the employee vetting process to weed out fake resumes. The onboarding delay had been attributed partly to this verification process. In an email to the employees concerned, TCS said, “As you commence your new journey, we are glad to invite you to attend the in person TCS onboarding programme scheduled for July 17 (Monday).
