TCS iON looks inside to grow, focus on India-centric products
MUMBAI: Tata Consultancy ServicesNSE -5.50 %’ cloud-based digital learning platform TCS iON will focus on building more India-centric products and patents, a senior company executive said. The platform will also look to sign up more content aggregation and corporate engagements and venture into newer markets such as Latin America and the UK, Venguswamy Ramaswamy, global head of TCS iON, told ET.
“Even in the assessment space where we are today, many did not expect that TCS will have a platformdriven services unit which will scale.
Today, some of these platforms are actually no less compared to a Microsoft platform or a Google platform,” Ramaswamy said. TCS’ iON unit has been scaling up in the exam assessment and technical skilling segments. The unit filed over 100 patents last year, Ramaswamy said, adding it would target more in the coming quarters.
