TCS gains 4% after 2-day fall as IT firm bags contract from Maurices

NEW DELHI: Tata Consultancy Services rose 4 per cent in Friday’s trade after the company said it will be building the technology infrastructure for US and Canada-based women’s fashion retail chain Maurices. The partnership value was not disclosed.

The stock also gained as some investors judged the recent sharp fall on the counter unwarranted.

At 9.50 am, the stock was trading 4.24 per cent higher at Rs 2,430 on BSE. The scrip had fallen 5.5 per cent on Thursday and 2.23 per cent on Wednesday.
