Tata Communications gains 2% after Jhunjhunwala picks stake

New Delhi: Shares of Tata Communications climbed over 2 per cent in early trade on Tuesday after well-known investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s wife Rekha on Monday bought 19.65 lakh shares of the company (0.70 per cent stake) at an average price of Rs 370 per share.

The scrip was trading 2.23 per cent up at Rs 382 at around 9.20 am (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex was up 198 points, or 0.51 per cent, at 38,865.

On the other hand, Amansa Holdings, owned by Singapore-based fund manager Akash Prakash sold 18.53 lakh shares of Tata Communications at Rs 370 per share, bulk deal data on BSE showed.
