Tamil Nadu soon to have exclusive cybercrime unit, ADGP to lead team

CHENNAI: The state government will soon announce the formation of an independent agency within the police department for cybercrime cases, including white collar offences such as land grabbing, cheating and bank frauds.

Later, they were roped in to keep a tab on the movements of a suspect’s cellphone and tower location. With Isro’s latest satellites and the advancement in technology, the cybercrime wing is involved in tracking down suspects across the country.
