Survey action on BBC India: Centre flags ‘several’ discrepancies, inconsistencies

Following a three-day long survey action on the Mumbai and New Delhi offices of British media company BBC by the Income Tax Department, the Centre on Friday said that the operation revealed several discrepancies and inconsistencies with regard to transfer pricing documentation.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) issued a statement without naming the media organisation and said that I-T teams unearthed crucial evidences by way of statement of employees, digital proof and documents.
