Sunil Mittal asserts Airtel has paid full dues at about Rs 13,000 cr

NEW DELHI: Bharti AirtelNSE -4.75 % chairman Sunil Mittal has said that the Supreme Court had simply asked carriers to pay their adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, without specifying the quantum.

Accordingly, the telco has already paid its entire Rs13,000 crore AGR dues, based on its self assessment, to the government, Mittal said on Wednesday.

His comment comes within a week of the telecom department asking all telecom companies including Airtel, Vodafone Idea and Tata Teleservices to pay the remaining adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues without delay in accordance with the top court order.
