Way back on October 22, 2010, the Supreme Court had stayed the TDSAT order on revised Spectrum Usage Charges (SUC) subject to the operators paying 50 per cent of the outstanding amount and securing balance 50 per cent through submission of Bank Guarantee. Three operators – Bharti, Idea & Vodafone – complied with the order and deposited about Rs 236.34 crore, which was 50 per cent of the outstanding at that time calculated for a very short period of few months (01.04.2010 to 22.10.2010).
