Stop selling products with ‘Sugar Watchers’ trademark on ecommerce sites: Delhi HC to India Gate basmati parent

Providing some much-needed relief to direct-to-consumer (D2C) startup Sugar Watchers, the Delhi High Court has asked Noida-based KRBL Ltd—the parent company of India Gate basmati rice—to stop selling its products with the ‘Sugar Watchers’ trademark on ecommerce sites.

“The defendant is directed…to forthwith communicate with all ecommerce platforms on which the products bearing the impugned trade marks are being sold, to cease sale of such products on the ecommerce platforms and to place the said communication on record,” the Delhi High Court said in its order.
