Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.78%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.

Shares of MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
