Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.62%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

Shares of Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 1.3 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.29 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
