Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.04%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a negative note on Friday.

Shares of Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 1.63 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.51 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
