Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 1.21% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:35AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Tech Mahindra(up 2.3 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 1.6 per cent), Wipro(up 1.5 per cent), HCL Technologies(up 1.43 per cent) and Infosys(up 1.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tata Consultancy(down 1.1 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd(down 0.23 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
