Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.81%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Tuesday.

Shares of Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 2.88 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.15 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
