STL opens OFC manufacturing facility in South Carolina with $56 mn investment

NEW DELHI: STL, an optical and digital solutions provider, has established a new optical fiber cable (OFC) manufacturing facility – the Palmetto Plant – in Lugoff, South Carolina, US, with an investment of $56 million.

“…this facility, also designated as STL’s North American Headquarters, symbolizes STL’s commitment to the US market,” STL said in a recent regulatory filing.

STL said the manufacturing facility was inaugurated by Henry McMaster, Governor of South Carolina, in the presence of government officials, key customers, and representatives from the Fiber Broadband Association, National Telecommunications and Information Administration, and the local Chambers of Commerce.
