Sterlite Technologies reopens China, Europe, India facilities; chases Rs 10,000 crore order book

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL), a Pune-based predominant optic fibre maker has been able to restart operations, following the Coronavirus shutdowns, and aims to fulfil an order book worth Rs 10,000 crore by the end of FY2020. In a telephonic interaction with ETTelecom’s Muntazir Abbas, STL Group CEO Anand Agarwal speaks on supply chain disruptions, fifth-generation (5G) networks, Facebook-Jio tie-up and BSNL dues. What has been the impact of Covid-19 on the supply chain? Companies in India have not been able to source components from overseas especially China. How do you look at it?
We saw this thing moving from China to Europe to the US, and to India. Now the recovery is also sort of started. I think within the current quarter, maybe it should come to a normal state for the bulk of the industry.
