STC picks Nokia software for 5G network slicing

NEW DELHI: Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC) has selected Nokia’s Digital Operations’ Orchestration software to roll out 5G network slicing for its customers and bolster monetisation efforts, the Finnish telecom gear maker said on Wednesday.

Nokia Orchestration Center, which is part of Nokia Digital Operations Center, automates the creation and lifecycle management of end-to-end 5G slicing at scale for personalised connectivity services for enterprises and consumers.

Nokia Orchestration Center in STC, which aligns with TMF Open Digital Architecture (ODA), will provide a single, multi-tenanted platform for onboarding customers, orchestrating the design and deployment of multi-vendor services, and delivering against business-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Nokia said.
