Startups bat for net-neutrality, 128 founders write to TRAI
Chennai: Around 128 Indian startup founders, including the likes of Zerodha’s Nithin Kamath, Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma, PhonePe’s Sameer Nigam, Bharat Matrimony’s Murugavel Janakiraman, Razorpay’s Harshil Mathur as well as and Practo’s Shashank ND Singh have signed a letter petitioning the government in support of Net Neutrality, arguing that “any move towards overregulation of internet services or Over-The-Top (OTT) services, may have discriminatory consequences.”
Others who signed the letter include Webveda’s Ankur Warikoo, ixigo’s Aloke Bajpai, Rapido’s Rishikesh SR and MapmyIndia’s Rohan Verma among others.
