Startek makes chairman Aparup Sengupta its CEO

BENGALURU: Startek, the US -listed business process outsourcing company which took over India-headquartered AegisNSE 0.52 %, has appointed Aparup Sengupta, its chairman as its chief executive officer.

Sengupta has a long history with Aegis. He was previously CEO of the company from from 2005 to 2012. He then became the CEO of Aditya Birla-owned BPO Minacs, which was acquired by US-listed Synnex. He is also an operating partner at Capital Square Partners, which bought Aegis and merged it with Startek in 2018.
