Spotify to host virtual concerts featuring The Black Keys, Leon Bridges and more

Virtual concerts took off last year due to the pandemic, and various popular artists have held successful concerts online. Taking things up a notch, Spotify has announced it will hose virtual concerts starting May 27 on its platform. Spotify will livestream concerts from five artists and bands including The Black Keys, Rag’n’Bone Man, Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff, Leon Bridges and girl in red. The concerts will take place for 40-75 minutes, and will be ticketed.

These concerts won’t exactly be “live” as they will be pre recorded livestreams. The streaming service plans to integrate concerts better into their platform so it’s easier for fans to find their favourite artists and events.
