SpaceX puts 60 new Starlink Internet satellites into orbit

San Francisco: SpaceX has confirmed the successful deployment of a new batch of 60 Starlink internet satellites into orbit.

“Successful deployment of 60 Starlink satellites confirmed,” SpaceX tweeted late on Wednesday.

The launch came less than a week after the rocket builder sent two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station on a Falcon 9 rocket over the weekend.

SpaceX sent the new batch of Starlink satellites on a different reusable Falcon 9 rocket which became the first orbital class rocket booster to successfully launch and land five times.
