Sony wants to “grow by making Xbox smaller,” says Microsoft Gaming CEO

Sony, the maker of Playstation, wants to shelter its ‘dominance’ in the console market, said Phil Spencer, Microsoft Gaming CEO and Xbox chief, during a recent episode of the podcast Second Request. Spencer added further, “The way they grow is by making Xbox smaller.”

Microsoft’s planned acquisition of Activision worth $69 billion has been under the scanner of regulators around the world over the anti-competitiveness nature of the deal. If we say, in Microsoft’s words, Sony has been the “loudest objecter” of its merger with Activision Blizzard.
