Smartphone demand rebounded very strongly; production to soon reach 100% capacity: Xiaomi India MD Manu Jain

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi said that the India’s smartphone market has rebounded “very strongly” after the lockdown, mainly driven by pent-up demand and new demand associated with new online education among others.
In an interview with ET, the company’s India managing director Manu Jain said that production in India hasn’t reached its previous levels, and the company is still importing small quantities of phones from abroad.
