Smart devices to generate $54 billion in revenue for smartphone OEMs in India in 2021: Report

NEW DELHI: The changing lifestyle of consumers powered by smart and intelligent gadgets is opening up new revenue streams for the smartphone industry. In fact, smart devices are expected to generate more revenue for smartphone original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) versus revenues from smartphones.

Research firm Techarc estimates that smart devices will generate a revenue of $54 billion in India in 2021 while the revenue contribution of smartphones will be slightly more than 70%.
