Show-cause notice to Sudarshan TV: Govt

New Delhi: The SC on Wednesday deferred hearing on a plea seeking ban on Sudarshan News’ programme “UPSC Jihad” after the Centre said it has issued a show-cause notice to the channel. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told a Bench that in exercise of power conferred upon it under the Cable TV Network (Regulation) Act, 1995, the Centre issued a show-cause notice to the channel. — TNS
