Share market update: Telecom shares rise; OnMobile Global up nearly 5%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Telecom index was up in Monday’s afternoon session with most of its components trading in the green.

Shares of OnMobile Global (up 4.89 per cent), Sterlite Technologies (up 3.98 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (up 2.96 per cent) and Aksh Optifibre (up 2.92 per cent) were trading with gains.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 2.42 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 2.22 per cent), GTL (up 2.13 per cent) and ITI (up 1.36 per cent) too were trading in the green.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 1.06 per cent up at 1038.21 around 12:49 pm.
