Share market update: Telecom shares rise; GTPL Hathway climbs 2%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading higher in Tuesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of GTPL Hathway (up 1.88 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (up 1.69 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (up 1.67 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

OnMobile Global (up 1.61 per cent), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 1.44 per cent), Vodafone Idea (up 1.18 per cent) and Tata Communications (up 0.71 per cent) too were trading in the green.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.26 per cent up at 1031.59 around 11:53 am.
