Share market update: Telecom shares rise; Aksh Optifibre surges 10%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading with gains in Tuesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Aksh Optifibre (up 9.93 per cent), Sterlite Technologies (up 6.76 per cent), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 5.43 per cent) and ITI (up 3.33 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Vindhya Telelinks (up 3.09 per cent), GTL Infrastructure (up 2.13 per cent), Vodafone Idea (up 1.99 per cent) and Tejas Networks (up 1.79 per cent) too were trading in the green.
