Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; Tejas Network climbs 5%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Thursday’s morning session.

Shares of Tejas Network (up 4.62 per cent) , Optiemus Infracom (up 3.84 per cent) , Aksh Optifibre (up 3.77 per cent) , Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 2.57 per cent) , Reliance Communications (up 2.41 per cent) , GTPL Hathway (up 2.37 per cent) , Sterlite Technologies (up 0.4 per cent) , ITI (up 0.37 per cent) and OnMobile Global (up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While GTL Infrastructure (down 2.38 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (down 0.98 per cent) , Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 0.67 per cent) and HFCL Ltd (down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.87 per cent down at 1110.26 around 11:10 am.
