Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; GTPL slips 3%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Tata Communications (up 1.98 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (up 1.08 per cent), Aksh Optifibre (up 1.08 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (up 0.89 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

GTL (down 3.18 per cent), GTPL Hathway (down 2.94 per cent), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (down 2.86 per cent) and OnMobile Global (down 2.54 per cent) were trading lower.
