Share market update: Telecom shares mixed; GTL Infra jumps 4%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Telecom index was up in Tuesday’s afternoon session with most of its components trading on a mixed note.

Shares of GTL Infrastructure (up 4.49 per cent) , GTPL Hathway (up 2.02 per cent) , ITI (up 1.74 per cent) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 1.25 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Reliance Communications (down 4.94 per cent) , GTL (down 3.16 per cent) , Tejas Networks (down 2.27 per cent) and Vodafone Idea (down 1.32 per cent) were trading in the red.
