Share market update: Telecom shares advance; Tejas Networks jumps 7%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading with gains in Wednesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of GTL (up 9.87 per cent), Tejas Networks (up 7.32 per cent), ITI (up 4.56 per cent) and GTPL Hathway (up 3.16 per cent) were trading with gains.

OnMobile Global (up 2.01 per cent), Vindhya Telelinks (up 1.28 per cent), Aksh Optifibre (up 1.22 per cent) and Reliance Communications (up 0.74 per cent) too were trading higher.

The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.26 per cent up at 959.02 around 12:08 pm.
