Share market update: IT shares in the green; NIIT Tech rises 2%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the green in Thursday’s session.

Shares of NIIT Technologies (up 2.36 per cent) , MPhasis (up 1.79 per cent) , Infosys (up 1.07 per cent) and Mindtree (up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.35 per cent up at 14529.05 around 12:12PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 76.90 points at 9958.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 217.37 points at 33725.29.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
