Seven held in Amazon delivery centre theft case

The police on Monday arrested seven persons of the 10 accused in a theft case reported from an Amazon delivery station in the city.

The accused have been identified as Chellipalli Sai Kumar, Maraju Raju, Bhemireddy Srinu, Surada Bangaraju, Chamanthi Chanti Babu, Potnuru Chandra Rao and Mamidi Shankar Rao. The police are on the look out for Challaboyina Rajesh and Polli Raju and Raja.

As per ADCP (crime) Suresh Babu, all the accused were working as station support assistants at the unit. They allegedly stole nine cellphones and one laptop, worth Rs. 1.7 lakh. The police recovered eight cellphones and the laptop.
