Seth urges Minister for 24×7 broadcast of Doordarshan in State

Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth met Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi on Thursday demanding the telecast of Doordarshan to be made 24 hours in Jharkhand.

Seth said that this channel is the source of entertainment and knowledge of the people. “The shows on this channel are appreciated by the audience. Programmes on DD Jharkhand focus on the culture, farmers, labourers and regional news and is the only channel in the State for shows related to its ethnic society. Since it is not broadcasted for 24 hours, people do not get information about the development programmes of the Centre and State on time,” said the MP.
