After a dull phase in online hiring, overall job market shows some sign of recovery as online hiring registered 3 pc yoy growth in September. The recent Naukri JobSpeak index shows that some of the key industries like Heavy Machinery, Engineering and Auto saw a growth of 19 pc, 15 pc and 7 pc growth, respectively in September 2017 when compared with September 2016. Banking and financial services reported 21 pc growth in hiring in September 2017 over the year-ago period. On the other hand, oil & gas, insurance, BPO/ITeS, and IT-software sector jobs witnessed a dip of 4 pc, 9 pc, 6 pc and 6 pc, respectively in hiring activities.
