Semiconductor shortage will continue: N Venu, MD, Hitachi Energy India
Hitachi Energy India’s robust order book at Rs 7009 crore gives it revenue visibility for the coming quarters but in the it continues to face semiconductor shortages, commodity and freight prices increase, and foreign exchange volatility. How is your company tackling high raw material prices?
Inflation of 7% in India is not new to us. We have seen this previously. What is interesting to note is that recession in the US or some other parts can have an effect in India. But my belief is that this may be short term. There could be some slowdown because of high interest rates in those markets but the long-term demand drivers for energy transitions are intact and we have a very solid pipeline and solid projects.
