SC’s refusal to direct for 4G internet resumption disappointing: Tarigami
CPI (M) leader MY Tarigami Monday said Supreme Court’s refusal to ask J&K administration to restore 4G internet connectivity in the Union territory has disappointed people.
In a statement, Tarigami said at a time when COVID19 pandemic has engulfed the whole world and people were heavily relying on internet, the facility was being denied to people of J&K.
He said the low speed internet was impeding the work-from-home regimen of professionals, including doctors, and students attending online classes.
“The ban on high-speed internet makes it difficult for many in Kashmir to work from home and fulfill their right to employment and an adequate standard of living,” he said.
