Screenshots ‘confirm’ Google working on a new Android OS for feature phones

Google dominates the OS market with Android when it comes to smartphones. This is followed by Apple’s iOS that runs on iPhones and iPad devices. There are some other OSes as well such as KaiOS that is specifically made for feature phones. And with the rise in the sales of feature phones, it is natural for big firms to at least try and expand their market on that particular front. So, Google seems to be working on a new ‘touchless’ OS version of Android that one could use on a feature phone.
There’s no public announcement on this by Google yet but rather an indirect revelation via some commits on the Chromium website. As mentioned by 9to5Google, the new operating systems for feature phones was hinted when Google posted screenshots of a ‘touchless’ version of Chrome, which appeared to have been made for feature handsets.
