Satya Nadella on why Microsoft is innovating in AI

Microsoft launched the ‘new’ Bing search engine and Edge web browser that is powered by an upgraded version of OpenAI’s language model that is more powerful than ChatGPT. The company also announced that it has developed a proprietary way, called Prometheus model, of working with OpenAI’s model that allows it to best leverage the AI model’s power.

This development comes a day after Google announced Bard, its own ‘experimental conversational AI service’ – suggesting that the AI-powered future is here.

Now before the company went on to unveil the new Bing and Edge browser, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella gave a brief about why Microsoft is innovating in AI. He said that the company is pursuing the motive, “Can we use technology to overcome challenges that people and organisations and countries face?”
