Satellite Phones

In India, satellite based telecom services are being provided by an international operator without an earth station in the country. DoT has authorized a total 353 satellite phones to operate in the country. The services to these satellite phones are being taken from INMARSAT in India, who is an international operator & service provider for INMARSAT based satellite phones. Most of these phones are being used for security purpose.
