SatCom industry forms non-profit representative body SiA-India

NEW DELHI: Satellite operators, satellite systems, launch vehicles, and ground and terminal equipment makers, as well as application solutions providers on Monday, formed a non-profit industry body–Satcom Industry Association (SiA-India)–to represent a unified voice for the satellite communications ecosystem in India.

As the apex representative body for the SatCom ecosystem, SiA-India said it seeks to represent the interests of the industry to high-level government authorities for policy-making and regulatory as well as for licensing matters.
