Samsung readying another ammo to take on Xiaomi: Galaxy A series phones

South Korean technology giant Samsung is gearing up in big way to reclaim its top position in the Indian smartphone market. After launching the new Galaxy M series smartphones in the value-for-money segment in the country, Samsung is now set to launch a revamped Galaxy A series. In an exclusive interaction with The Times of India-Gadgets Now, Ranjivjit Singh, senior vice president and head, mobile marketing, Samsung India said, “We will launch one smartphone every month in all price ranges starting from under Rs 10,000 in the new Galaxy A series.”

According to another Samsung India executive, this strategy is in line with what Samsung Mobile business global president DJ Koh had promised last year during his trip to India.
