Samsung is ‘spamming’ Galaxy smartphone users with Note 10 ads

Last week saw Samsung unveil its latest and most expensive – Galaxy Note 10 series – smartphones at an event in New York. Now, there are multiple ways of promoting new products that are adopted by various companies. However, Samsung has chosen a rather unique mode: by sending notifications on its own range of Galaxy smartphones.
According to a report by Android Police, several Samsung users have complained about being ‘spammed’ by push notifications regarding the Note 10. The report says that Galaxy users are getting notifications through three pre-installed apps: Samsung Pay, Bixby and Samsung Push service.
The Bixby notification is reportedly telling users to ask it about the Note 10, since it is the voice-based assistant on Samsung phones. Samsung Pay, on the other hand, is giving points if users go to the Note 10’s product page. Android Police reports that the Samsung Push Service “just gives you a banner ad with no indication of where it came from.”
