Samsung Galaxy S24 series may feature two-way satellite connectivity
Samsung launched its foldable smartphones — Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5 — in July. The company is expected to launch its next foldable series in 2024. Previous rumours suggested that just like iPhone 14, the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup will support satellite connectivity for emergency calling and messaging. However, that didn’t happen. Now, a new report claims that Samsung will include satellite connectivity to its phones in 2024.
In an interview with news agency Yonhap, Lee Jong-ho, minister of science and ICT in South Korea, claimed that domestic smartphone brands are expected to launch a new service in 2024. This service will help in data transmission between 5G phones and satellites.
